Mumbai, March 23: BJP's Raosaheb Patil Danve won Jalna Lok Sabha seat. Jalna parliamentary seat is one of the 48 parliamentary seats in Maharashtra. Polling for Lok Sabha election in Jalna constituency was held on April 23 in the third phase of general polls.
The BJP renominated its sitting Member of Parliament from Jalna Raosaheb Patil Danve. He will face a challenge from Vilas Kechavrao Autade of the Congress. In Jalna constituency, the process of filing nomination began from March 28. The last day for nominations was April 4. The withdrawal of the nominations was April 8. As per the seat-sharing agreement, the BJP and Shiv Sena are contesting 25 and 23 seats respectively of the total 48 Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra. The Congress also has a tie-up with the NCP and other regional outfits. Check Full Schedule of Lok Sabha Elections 2019.

In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP-Shiv Sena -Swabhiman Paksha combine together won 42 seats in Maharashtra. Congress could win only two seats and NCP just four. Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held in seven phases - on April 11, April 18, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19.
