Mumbai, March 23: Jalgaon Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra went to polls on April 23 in the third phase of general elections. BJP candidate Unmesh Bhaiyyasaheb Patil was elected as Member of Parliament from Jalgaon. BJP leader AT Nana Patil is the current Member of Parliament (MP) from Jalgaon seat. However, the BJP denied him a ticket in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
In its bid to retain Jalgaon Lok Sabha seat, the BJP fielded Unmesh Bhaiyyasaheb Patil. As per the seat-sharing agreement between the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), the parliamentary seat is with the letter. NCP nominated Gulabrao Deokar as its candidate.
