Jalaun constituency is one of the eighty Lok Sabha constituencies in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The election here will be conducted on April 29, 2019 as per the Phase IV schedule. Jalaun District is a part of Jhansi Division. The district has an area of 4565 km², and a population of 16,89,974 (2011 census), with a population density of 370 persons per km². In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the seat and is the sitting MP from this Lok Sabha Constituency. Brijlal Khabri of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) was at the second spot. This time, the BJP's candidate from the seat is Bhanu Pratap Verma. The Indian National Congress has fielded Brij Lal Khabri from this constituency and the Bahujan Samaj Party's (BSP) candidate is Pankaj Singh.
