Ayodhya, June 16: Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday said that his party wants an ordinance for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Uddhav Thackeray, along with his son Aditya Thackeray, today arrived in Ayodhya where 18 Shiv Sena Members of Parliament (MPs) are already camping in the Uttar Pradesh city since Saturday. The father-son-duo will offer prayers at a makeshift shrine of the Ram Lalla.
"We are saying bring an ordinance. I'm confident that a Ram temple will be constructed for sure. I'm here for the second time... This place is such that you want to keep coming back. The government has a strong mandate and there's no one stopping them. The government's decision will not be stopped by anyone. The Hindus of the country and the world want this (Ram Temple)," Thackeray told reporters, ANI reported. The Shiv Sena chief had visited Ayodhya in November last year asked the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to announce a date for the construction of Ram temple. "The matter is in Court for a long time. The govt is strong now and we all are together. Modi ji has the courage to take the decision. If the govt takes the decision to build Ram Temple there will be no one to stop it," Thackeray said.
"From tomorrow Lok Sabha session will begin, so before entering parliament all Shiv Sena parliamentarians have come here to take the blessings of Ram Lalla. We strongly believe that a temple will be constructed at the earliest," he added. ‘Proud of Babri Masjid Demolition, We Removed Waste From Our Lord Ram’s Temple’, Says Sadhvi Pragya Thakur.

On Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said the Modi government will enact a law for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya if all options fail. Maurya said the matter was being heard in the Supreme Court and efforts were also being made for a solution through mediation. "If these two options do not work, we will enact a law," he said while speaking at the Dharam Sansad organised to mark the conclusion of the birthday celebrations of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das.
