Husnabad: Vodithela Sathish Kumar who won on a TRS ticket has been fielded by the party again. Chada Srinivasa Reddy is BJP's candidate in the constituency.
Siddipet: Thanneeru Harish Rao, KCR's nephew and caretaker irrigation minister who has been winning on Siddipet seat since 2008 has been fielded by the party again. Sri Naini Narotham Reddy is BJP's face in the constituency.

While Congress has formed a grand alliance to take on the popular Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the state, the later seems to be confident of its victory. The K Chandrashekar Rao-led Telangana government dissolved the Assembly leading to early elections in the state. The TRS had 90 of the 119 seats in the state assembly. KCR is currently the caretaker Chief Minister and president of TRS.
