Kuruva Gorantla of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party won from the Hindupur Lok Sabha Constituency in Andhra Pradesh. Kuruva defeated  N.Kristappa of the Telugu Desam Party by a margin of 1,40,748 votes. The election here were conducted on April 11, 2019 as per the Phase 1 schedule. The last general election in the year 2014 was won by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate Kristappa Nimmala who bagged the total of 6,04,291 votes and is also the current MP on the seat. The runner up of the election was Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) candidate Duddukunta Sreedhar Reddy.
