Hatkanangale Vidhan Sabha Constituency in Maharashtra: Sitting MLA, Candidates For Assembly Elections 2019, Results And Winners

The constituency of Hatkanangale is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Maharashtra Assembly. Hatkanangale – constituency no. 278 – is one of the 10 constituencies that are located in Kolhapur district.

The constituency of Hatkanangale is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Maharashtra Assembly. Hatkanangale – constituency no. 278 – is one of the 10 constituencies that are located in Kolhapur district. The voting in Maharashtra Assembly Polls 2019 will be a single-phase election, on October 21, as announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The current MLA from the Hatkanangle constituency is Sujit Minchekar, who hails from Shiv Sena. In 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections, he defeated his rival Awale Jaywant Gangawam (of Congress) by securing 89,087 votes in his favour. In the 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Polls, it was Minchekar who emerged as a winner from the Hatkanangale constituency. Minchekar will be fighting the 2019 polls on a Shiv Sena ticket, against Awale Raju (Baba) Jaywantrao of the Congress among others.

On September 21, the Election Commission announced the elections in both Maharashtra and Haryana. The EC also announced the last dates to file nominations and withdrawal of their candidature to be October 4 and 7 respectively.

The voting in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019 will take place on October 21. The vote-counting procedure and announcements of the result of 2019 Maharashtra Assembly Polls will be taking place on October 24. The EC instructed that the election-related procedures will be over by Diwali, i.e. October 28.

There are nearly 9 crore eligible voters in Maharashtra, for which the Election Commission has announced a total of 95,743 polling states across the state. Along with that, the EC had also said that the senior surgeons and specially-abled persons should be given all the facilities for smoother passage of voting procedures.

The EC also directed that one polling station in every Assembly constituency has to be women-specific only. The election staff and all the personnel at the polling station will be women only. As the date for Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019 nears, it will be interesting to see which of the political parties gain early advantage.
