He then told the journalist to learn "media etiquettes", and even as the journalist kept taking him back to the question, he kept lecturing the journalist saying the "job of media is to only ask questions and not put allegations", at which the journalist replied that he was doing his job of asking questions only. The CM then angrily said that "I am accountable to the people and not the media. Media's role is to only ask questions."

What is the CM Window and the controversy related to it?

In December 2014, the newly elected BJP government in Haryana and its Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, launched a 'CM Window' or a web portal reportedly to "redress or rectify the grievances of the people" as part of the initiative towards Good Governance on the occasion of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birthday. Under the system, people could get their grievances registered at either the DC's office on "CM Window" counter or at Chief Minister's official residence and minister's official residences in Chandigarh.

In April 2017, seven officers were suspended after it was found that they had neglected the complaints of the people. But recently there have been reports that some officers have been allegedly submitting reports without getting the grievances checked. It is on this issue that the Chief Minister got angry after the journalist persistently asked him questions about actions taken on the officers.
