Chandigarh, October 24: Haryana Congress chief Kumari Selja, on the day of counting of votes for the Haryana Assembly Elections 2019, met Ahmed Patel and claimed that the Congress will form government in Haryana, even before the exact tally of the elections are out. Kumari Selja was quoted saying by The Times of India that, "Haryana has given the verdict -- it will not tolerate BJP's misgovernance any more. Choosing to leave behind the maladies inflicted on its people in last 5 years, the state is ready to embrace a new dawn of justice and equality under the leadership of Congress." With BJP not managing the show as was expected by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in the Assembly election, there was silence at his official residence on Thursday as the results threw up a close contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress, reported IANS. The current trends show BJP (39) slightly ahead of Congress (29) in Haryana. However, none of the party is in the position to form the Government on their own. JJP is leading in 11, while Independent (6), as counting progresses for the 90-member Assembly. CM Manohar Lal Khattar is summoned to New Delhi by party President Amit Shah and the two are holding a meeting, said reports.
