Bhupinder Singh Hooda

Congress Legislature Party leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda will be contesting from his stronghold Garhi-Sampla Kiloi. Hooda won the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi constituency in 2019. In 2014, Hooda registered his fourth consecutive win in the seat. He won the constituency in assembly elections in 2005, 2009, 2014 and 2019. The constituency is a general seat not reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs). Manju Hooda, wife of gangster Rajesh Hooda and daughter of a former senior police officer, Pradeep Yadav, has been named as the BJP candidate for the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi constituency in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections.

Anil Vij

After being fielded from Ambala Cantt constituency for the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana, BJP leader and former Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that he will work more to win the trust of people again. If Vij wins Ambala Cantt, he will be elected MLA for the seventh time.

Vinesh Phogat

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who joined Congress recently, will contest Haryana Assembly elections from the Julana seat. The Julana seat, situated in the Jat-dominated Bangar region of Haryana, has long been controlled by parties like the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), which have held the seat for the past 15 years. Parminder Singh of the INLD won the seat in 2009 and 2014, while Amarjeet Dhanda of the JJP claimed it in 2019.

Meanwhile, two ministers in the Haryana government, Energy Minister Ranjit Singh Chautala and Minister of State for Social Justice Bishamber Singh Balmiki, have resigned amid internal rebellion within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The dissent arose after the party released its first list of 67 candidates, with rebels accusing the BJP of favoring newcomers over loyal party members in ticket allocation. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is reportedly attempting to reconcile with the leaders.
