Kavita Dalal

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has fielded Kavita Dalal who will be contesting from the Julana Assembly constituency. Known as "Lady Khali," she is the first Indian woman to sign with WWE and is actively involved in sports administration. She faces tough competition from Congress's ace wrestler Vinesh Phogat and former commercial pilot Captain Yogesh Bairagi of the BJP. Born into a farming family, she has a strong connection to her constituency and emphasises the importance of listening to the people.

Dushyant Chautala

Jananayak Janata Party (JJP) has fielded Dushyant Chautala, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana, who is running for re-election from the Uchana Kalan constituency. A prominent political figure and great-grandson of Devi Lal, he won his seat in 2019 by a significant margin. This time, he faces strong competition from Congress’s Brijendra Singh, a former IAS officer, and BJP's newcomer Devender Attri.

Manju Hooda

Manju Hooda represents Congress in the Rohtak constituency and has served as the chairperson of the Rohtak Zila Parishad. She is married to Rajesh Hooda, a known history-sheeter and local strongman, which has drawn attention during her campaign. She insists that her work stands apart from her husband’s history, asserting her commitment to the right causes. Her father, Pradeep Yadav, was a Deputy Superintendent of the Haryana Police, highlighting her family's political and law enforcement background. Haryana Assembly Elections 2024: From Nayab Singh Saini in Ladwa to Bhupinder Singh Hooda in Garhi-Sampla Kiloi, List of Key Candidates and Constituencies.

Abhay Singh Chautala

A senior leader of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), Abhay Singh Chautala, is contesting for re-election in the Ellenabad constituency. Having held this seat since 2010, he is banking on his established voter base despite a disappointing performance in the recent Lok Sabha elections. The INLD’s alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) aims to consolidate Jat and Scheduled Caste votes.

Aditya Surjewala

Making his electoral debut at just 25 years old, Aditya Surjewala is the Congress candidate for the Kaithal constituency. He is the son of prominent party MP Randeep Surjewala, adding to the family's political legacy in the region. His campaign will be under scrutiny, especially after his father's previous close contest against the BJP's Leela Ram in 2019. Recently graduated from the University of British Columbia, Aditya aims to connect with younger voters.

As the Haryana Assembly elections approach, the political landscape is heating up, with key candidates vying for crucial constituencies. Each candidate brings unique strengths and backgrounds to the table, promising to address local issues while navigating intense competition. With the elections scheduled for October 5, voters will play a decisive role in shaping the future of Haryana's governance.
