According to reports, the Narnaund constituency recorded the highest voter turnout while Panipat City recorded the lowest turnout. The Narnaund constituency in Hisar constituency recorded 63.75 percent turnout till 4 pm while Panipat City Vidhan Sabha constituency recorded 35 percent voter turnout.

Polling to elect 90 members of the Assembly in Haryana is currently underway. Despite minor skirmishes and snags in electronic voting machines (EVMs), 50.59% poll percentage recorded till 3:30 pm across the state.

Taking a dig at the BJP, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on October 21 described the BJP's candidate from Haryana's Assandh as the "most honest man" in the ruling party after a video went viral in which he is purportedly heard saying no matter which button is pressed on the EVM, the vote would go to the BJP.

Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Anurag Agarwal issues a show-cause notice to BJP candidate Bakshish Singh for allegedly saying "every vote on EVM is for BJP" in a viral video. According to a tweet by ANI, Agarwal said, the candidate has said that the video was edited, adding that the matter is being investigated.

Chandigarh, October 20: Voting in all the 90-member Haryana assembly will begin from 7 am and will continue till 6 pm on October 21. The counting of votes and result for the polls will be announced on October 24.  The term of the 90-member Haryana assembly ends on November 2. According to details by the Election Commission of India (ECI), Haryana has 1.82 crore registered voters this year. In Haryana, the political battle is between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress this year. According to the election commission, while the BJP and the Congress are contesting on all 90 seats, the BSP is in fray on 87 seats, and the INLD is contesting on 81 seats. In the last Assembly polls in Haryana in 2014, the BJP won 47 seats followed by the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) with 19, while then ruling Congress managed just 15 seats. Two seats went to the Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC), and one each to the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Five Independents were also elected.

The ABP News-CVoter Opinion Poll has predicted that Manohar Lal Khattar-led BJP is the first choice of people. According to the survey, around 46 percent of the people said that they will vote for the saffron party in Haryana Assembly Elections 2019, while 22 percent preferred Congress.
