Haryana Assembly Elections 2019: Re-Polling Ordered in Uchana Kalan, Berry, Narnaul, Kosli, Prithla on October 23

Chandigarh, October 22: Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, Anurag Agarwal on Tuesday ordered re-polling in five polling booths of five assembly constituencies on Wednesday, October 23. Re-polling will be held in one polling booth in Uchana Kalan, Berry, Narnaul, Kosli and Prithla assembly constituencies each from 7 am to 6 pm tomorrow as "some shortcomings" have been noticed. Haryana Exit Poll Results by India Today-Axis My India: Tough Battle Between BJP and Congress in Assembly Elections 2019.

Re-polling will be conducted in booth numbers 71 of Uchana Kalan assembly constituency in Jind district, 161 of Beri constituency in Jhajjar district, 28 of Narnaul assembly constituency in Narnaul district, 18 of Kosli in district Rewari and booth number 113 of Prithla in Faridabad district. "In the polls which were held in Haryana on Monday, some shortcomings were noticed in five booths after which the Election Commission ordered re-polling in these booths," an official said.

Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) (JJP) candidate from Uchana Kalan, Dushyant Chautala alleged that "bogus voting" took place at a booth in Dumerkha Kalan village. Dushyant is in the fray against sitting BJP MLA Prem Lata, who is the wife of former Union minister Birender Singh. He accused BJP supporters of capturing a polling booth in Uchana Kalan and claimed that he was attacked and pushed aside.

Polling for 90 assembly seats in Haraya was held on Monday. Over 65 percent voter turnout was recorded in the state. The election results would be out on October 24, coinciding with the Maharashtra Assembly election results.
