Haryana Assembly Elections 2019: Anand Singh Dangi Files Nomination Even Before Congress Finalises His Name, Claims His 'Ticket' is Fixed, Watch Video

Chandigarh, October 1: Congress party MLA Anand Singh Dagi filed his nominations papers even before the party announced his candidature. When asked about the reason for doing so, the party MLA said that his ticket is fixed and that nobody can deny him a ticket. He was also quoted as saying that "My ticket is fixed, and if somebody else wants a ticket thay can come to me." Dangi has been an MLA from the Maham Vidhansabha seat in 1991, 2005, 2009 and 2014. Congress MLA from Haryana Anand Singh Dangi filed his nomination before the party announced the candidate list for upcoming assembly elections. He was quoted saying by news agency ANI that, "I don't need to ask for a ticket. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also filed his nomination papers on Tuesday at the State Election Commission office. The 64-year-old Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, with deep roots in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), is contesting from Karnal constituency -- which he won for the first time in 2014. If the BJP returns to power, Khattar will continue as the Chief Minister. For the filing of nominations, Khattar was accompanied at the Election Commission office by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP's star-campaigner Yogi Adityanath.
