He said, "In Maharashtra, BJP-Shiv Sena is going to form the govt once again with majority. In Haryana have seen a 3% increase in our vote share since the last time and we have emerged as the largest party there, I thank the people for this."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday thanked the people of Haryana for blessing them in the Assembly Elections 2019. "I thank the people of Haryana for blessing us. We will continue to work with the same zeal and dedication for the state’s progress. I laud the efforts of hardworking BJP Karyakartas who toiled extensively and went among the people to elaborate on our development agenda", PM Modi tweeted.
In Haryana, the ruling BJP is six seats short of the majority mark to form a government. Reports inform that incumbent Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has staked claim to form the government.
According to official trends by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won in 16 constituencies and is currently leading in 22 constituencies in Haryana. Meanwhile, the Congress has won in 13 constituencies and is leading in 20 seats.
According to reports, Gopal Kanda, Haryana Lokhit Party leader, who was accused of rape with a flight attendant, has won from the seat of Sirsa by 602 votes. In the 2014 Haryana Assembly elections, Makhan Lal Singla of INLD won in this seat. In candidate by a margin of 2938 votes which was 2.04% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INLD had a vote share of 32.3% in 2014 in the seat. In 2009, Kanda had won the seat by defeating the INLD candidate.

Champion wrestler and BJP candidate Babita Phogat lost from the Dadri Assembly Constituency in Haryana. Phogat lost to Independent candidate Sombir by nearly 20,000 votes. "I thank people who supported me. The kind of respect they gave me, I am thankful for it", the wrestler said.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar is leading in Karnal assembly seat by 41,950 votes. Congress' Tarlochan Singh is trailing. Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) Chief Dushyant Chautala has won the Jannayak Uchana Kalan assembly constituency. Chautala defeated his nearest rival, Prem Lata of BJP.

Sonali Phogat, a BJP candidate and famous TikTok star, failed to lure voters and lost from the Adampur constituency. Phogat lost to Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi, a three-time sitting legislator from the constituency and son of former Chief Minister late Bhajan Lal.

In the last assembly elections held in Haryana in the year 2014, the BJP had won the majority with 47 seats followed by the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) with 19. The Congress, which was the then ruling party in the state, managed to bag just 15 seats. Two seats went to the Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC), and one each to the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Five Independents were also elected.
