On the other hand, Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s only rally in the state was cancelled. The rally, in Mahendergarh, was cancelled just hours before it was about to take place. The rally will be addressed by Rahul Gandhi instead on Friday. This was reportedly Sonia Gandhi's first public meeting after she took charge of the party in August. The appearance of Sonia Gandhi at public functions have become very rare over the last few years.
