Counting is underway in Harsud (ST), Khandwa (SC), Pandhana, Nepanagar (ST), Burhanpur, Bhikangaon seats of Madhya Pradesh.

Bhopal, December 11: The results for Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018 will be declared today. The counting of votes has begun in MP as well as four other states that went to polls in November and December. We are bringing you updates on the results for six MP Vidhan Sabha constituencies - Harsud (ST), Khandwa (SC), Pandhana, Nepanagar (ST), Burhanpur, Bhikangaon. Voting for the MP Assembly polls was held on November 28 in a single phase. The exit polls have not been able to predict a clear picture of whether the BJP or the Congress would win the state. MP saw a voter turnout of about 75 percent this election. Stay with us for Live updates on winners of these six MLA seats in MP.

Harsud (ST) Assembly Seat

The Harsud seat has been a BJP-ruled seat. Kunwar Vijay Shah of the BJP has been winning this seat every time since 1993 and has been fielded by the party this election as well. Shah is up against Sukhram Salve of the Congress and Vijay Singh S/O Ram Singh Uikey of BSP.

Khandwa (SC) Assembly Seat

The Khandwa seat has been with the BJP since 1990. The previous two elections on this seat were won by Devendra Verma of the BJP, who is also the party's candidate this election. Verma is up against Kundan Malviya of the Congress and Sampat Pachore of the BSP.

Pandhana Assembly Seat

The Pandhana seat has been a BJP seat since 2003. In 2013, Yogita Navalsing Borker of the BJP had won this seat. This year, the BJP has fielded Ram Dangore, who is up against Chhaya More of the Congress and Bahadur Singh of the BSP.

Nepanagar (ST) Assembly Seat

The Nepanagar seat has been a BJP seat since 2003. A bypoll was held on this seat in November 2016, which was won by Manju Rajendra Dadu of the BJP. Dadu has against been fielded by the party this election, against Sumitra Devi Kasdekar of the Congress and Ashok Totaram Marko of the BSP.

Burhanpur Assembly Seat

The Burhanpur seat has been with the Archana Chitnis aka Archana Didi of the BJP since 2008. While she has won the previous two elections, the BJP has fielded her this election as well to take on Ravindra Suka Mahajan of the Congress and Manoj Pawar of the BSP.

Bhikangaon Assembly Seat

The Bhikangaon seat was won by Jhumabai Solanki of the Congress who has been fielded by the Congress this election as well. The BJP, on the other hand, has fielded Dhool Singh Dawar, who won the polls on this seat in 2003 and 2008.
