Hajipur is one of the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies of Bihar. The voting for the parliamentary polls 2019 on this seat will take place in the Fifth phase on May 6.

Results of the Lok Sabha elections in Hajipur constituency, along with other parliamentary segments of the nation, has been declared. Pashupati Kumar Paras of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) has been named the winner. The seat went to polls on May 6, when the fifth phase of general elections 2019 were held. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partner Rashtriya Janshakti Party (RJP) has fielded Pashupati Kumar Paras from Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency. Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has given a ticket to Shiv Chander Ram from here. The last date of filing nominations for the seat was April 18. The scrutiny of nominations papers took place on April `20. In 2014 elections also, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Ramvilas Paswan had won from  Hajipur Lok Sabha Constituency defeating Congress candidate Sanjeev Prasad Toni with a margin of over two lakh votes. In 2009, Ram Sundar Das had won the seat on the Janata Dal-United candidate.

The Election Commission of India on March 10 announced the dates for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The general elections will take place in seven phases between April 11 and May 19, and the results will be declared on May 23. Along with Lok Sabha Elections, voting will also take place in this phase for Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Odisha Assembly Elections 2019.
