BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao's Car Hits 2 Women, One Dead in Accident at Guntur in Andhra Pradesh
The minister waited until ambulance arrived to take injured lady to hospital and another vehicle arrived to take deceased lady's body. He also visited the injured in the hospital.
Mumbai, August 25: BJP National Spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao's vehicle injured a woman and killed another on Friday after they were hit by the lawmakers car in Andhra Pradesh.
According to media reports, the incident is reported to have taken place in Guntur district. The two women were reportedly from the district of Mangalagiri.
An officer from the Tadepalli police station was quoted saying by the News Minute that the women were crossing the road and were returning after attending a function. One woman is said to have died on the spot and the injured woman has been admitted to the Government General Hospital (GGH) in Vijayawada.
GVL Narasimha Rao was also part of a BJP delegation that had met Governor ESL Narasimhan on Thursday and demanded a CBI probe.
"I was returning from a party meeting in our party Office car. Another car came within 20 minutes of the incident to take me. However, I waited until ambulance arrived to take injured lady to hospital & another vehicle arrived to take deceased lady's body. Anything else is fiction," tweeted the lawmaker about the incident.
