New Delhi, November 29: Congress MLA from Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgad Biaora Govardhan Dangi on Thursday made a controversial against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Pragya Singh Thakur. Meanwhile, Thakur today apologised in Parliament for her remarks calling Godse, a “Deshbhakt”. However, referring to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's tweet, she stated, "A member of the House referred to me as "terrorist". It is an attack on my dignity. No charges against me have been proven in court.” Gandhi on November 28, in a tweet called Thakur and Godse terrorists.

Govardhan Dangi's Statement:

The Lok Sabha speaker asked the members not to glorify the matter. He said, “This House doesn't permit to glorify the matter of assassination of Mahatma Gandhi whether in this House or outside. Yesterday the Defence Minister gave the clarification on behalf of the government. The MP (Pragya Singh Thakur) has apologised too.”

Not only the opposition parties, the BJP also criticised Thakur for her remark. Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla on Wednesday expunged her “Godse patriot” remark. She was also removed from the parliamentary committee on defence by the Narendra Modi government. Congress leader.
