Panaji, April 23: Voting for the third phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 concluded in Goa on Tuesday. There are two Parliamentary seats in Goa - North Goa and South Goa. Voting started for the third round of General Elections on the two seats of Goa at 7 am today and ended at 5 pm. A voter turnout of 71.09 per cent was recorded till 6 pm in the state. Goa is witnessing a single-phase election. In the initial few hours, an entire set of EVMs was replaced for AC 34, PS No 31 as per report from DEO South Goa.
The primary electoral contest for the seat was between the Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party. In South Goa, the BJP has fielded sitting MP Advocate Narendra Yadav Sawaikar. He is pitted against Congress candidate Francisco Sardinha and AAP candidate Elvis Gomes contested on the seat. Voting for the Lok Sabha Elections is taking place in seven phase. The last phase polling will take place on May 19. The results of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will be declared on May 23.
