Giriraj Singh Targets Mamata Banerjee After Iftar Party Row, Compares Her With North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un
Giriraj Singh on Friday slammed West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and alleged that the TMC supremo doesn't believe in Constitution and compared her with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.
Kolkata/New Delhi, June 7: Union Cabinet Minister in Narendra Modi government, Giriraj Singh, on Friday slammed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and alleged that the TMC chief doesn't believe in Constitution. Stating her countdown has begun, Singh compared her with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.
Accusing the WB CM behaving like the North Korean dictator, the Union Minister said, as news agency ANI quotes, "She plays the role of Kim Jong Un, that those who raise voices will be killed and no one will be allowed to take out a 'Vijay Yatra'. Janta unka ulti Ganga ka julus nikaal degi, unke shraadh ka julus nikaal degi (People will take opposite Ganga procession for her, a procession of her last rites)." Niti Aayog Row: Mamata Banerjee Urges to Bring Back Planning Commission After Refusing to Attend Governing Council Meet on June 15
Adding more, Singh was of the opinion that the way in which Mamata Banerjee is governing, it seems she doesn't believe in Constitution. He said, "The way in which Mamata Banerjee is governing, it seems she doesn't believe in Constitution. She doesn't consider the PM as PM. She doesn't want to come into the system. The people have decided that her countdown has begun now, people want development."
This is not the first time Singh has said something controversial. After taking charge as Union Minister, the Begusarai parliamentarian passed remarks against political leaders participating in Iftar parties. Soon after the comments, relations between BJP and Janata Dal (United) bittered and Union Home Minister Amit Shah called him for discussions.
It is to be known that on Friday Banerjee had stated that the Planning Commission was more effective than Niti Aayog and urged to bring it back. The above comments arrived after she refused to join the June 15 meeting of NITI Aayog.
