New Delhi, April 28: A day after Delhi Police filed a case against cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir for 'holding a political rally without taking permission', the BJP leader replied on AAP MP candidate Atishi's allegations of him holding two voter-ID cards.
Replying back on the allegations of Aam Aadmi Party leader, Gambhir said, "When you don't have a vision and have done nothing in the last 4.5 years, you make such allegations, EC will decide this. Earlier Taking a jibe at EC's order, Atishi wrote on Twitter, "First, Discrepancies in nomination papers. Then, Criminal offence of having 2 voter IDs. Now, FIR for the illegal rally. My question to @GautamGambhir: When you don't know the rules, why play the game? (sic)"
Earlier, Atishi had filed a petition against Gambhir claiming the latter has two electoral ids, of Delhi's Karol Bagh as well as Rajinder Nagar. She had even claimed that the BJP leader had provided false information in his nomination papers. The matter would be heard on May 1.
She even took a jibe at EC order for issuing a notice to Gambir for 'holding a political rally without taking permission'. The BJP's East Delhi Lok Sabha candidate violated the Model Code of Conduct by not taking permission for his rally on April 25 in Delhi's Jangpura. East Delhi, along with six other seats in the capital, will vote on May 12. Results will be counted on May 23.
