Lucknow, May 23: The results of the Gautam Buddh Nagar Lok Sabha Constituency will be declared today. The counting of votes began on the Parliamentary seat in Uttar Pradesh at 8 AM on Thursday, May 23. Voting took place for the Gautam Buddh Nagar seat in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 11. A total voter turnout of 64 per cent was recorded in this phase of polling in UP, as per Election Commission of India. Gautam Buddh Nagar is a largely suburban district of Uttar Pradesh state in northern India. It is part of the National Capital Region. In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Mahesh Sharma of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the seat. Narendra Bhati of the Samajwadi Party (was the first runner-up from the seat. Satish Kumar of the BSP and Kishan Pal Singh of the Aam Aadmi Party were at the third and fourth place respectively.

Lok Sabha Elections 2019 were held across the 29 states and 7 Union Territories (UT) between April 11 and May 23. While voting took place in seven phases between April 11 and May 19, the General Election results are scheduled to be announced on Thursday, May 23.
