Amaravati, April 8: Elections to Gangadhara, Gannavaram, Gannavaram (SC), Giddalur and Gopalapuram constituency of Andhra Pradesh Assembly will be held on April 11. The results of Andhra Pradesh Vidhan Sabha polls will be declared on May 23. There will be a close contest between the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in Gangadhara, Gannavaram, Gannavaram (SC), Giddalur and Gopalapuram seats. Police Visit Sensitive Areas Ahead of LS, Assembly Polls in Andhra Pradesh.

In the 2014 Assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh, the TDP won 102 seats, while the YSRCP bagged 67 seats. The BJP got four and the Navodyam Party (NP) got one. An independent candidate also won from a seat.
