Mumbai, May 30: The Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) party always finds ways to remain in the news; this time, to protest against the soaring price of fuel across the nation, it has decided to give a four-rupee discount at 36 petrol pumps of Mumbai. However, the discount could be availed only by two-wheelers just for one day - on June 14, which is also the birthday of MNS party supremo Raj Thackeray. Moreover, the offer will also be available at one petrol pump station in each of the 36 assembly constituencies of Maharashtra.
The MNS party spokesperson Sandeep Deshpande, tweeted about the discount offer in Marathi and mentioned that the offer is available as a gift to riders who are currently facing the pinch due to rising fuel prices. According to reports, the drive will be conducted not just to oppose the rising fuel price, but also to woo people, especially youngsters. Meanwhile, the discounted amount will be paid back to the petrol pump owners by MNS party.

Earlier, the MNS Chief has taken up his cartoon brush to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the cartoon, Raj showed how Amit Shah, BJP party president and PM Modi are extorting more money from an ordinary man on nozzle point at the fuel pump.

After the relentless fuel price hike today on 16-consecutive day, petrol and diesel price saw a mere cut in price by one paisa. While the other opposition parties slammed the government for mere one paisa cut, Rahul Gandhi, Congress party president called the cut a prank and criticised Modi government for the move.
