Four Years of Narendra Modi Government: Rahul Gandhi Releases 'Report Card', Rates PM 'A+' For Self Promotion & Slogan Creation
"Those who plundered the nation for 60 years are calling the Modi government a failure. They are no one to judge," said BJP chief Amit Shah, reacting to the remarks of Rahul Gandhi.
New Delhi, May 26: Congress president Rahul Gandhi released a 'report card' on the performance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the past four years. In a stinging jibe, the Gandhi scion has rated him 'A+' for self promotion and slogan creation, 'B-' for Yoga and 'F' in all areas of governance, including agriculture, job creation, fuel prices and foreign policy.
Rahul Gandhi further adds a footnote in his tweet, summarising the performance of Modi as: "Master communicator; struggles with complex issues; short attention span (sic)."
BJP president Amit Shah, on being asked about the tweet of Rahul Gandhi, said what else could be expected from the Congress. "Those who plundered the nation for 60 years are calling the Modi government a failure. They are no one to judge," he said.
"Regarding the statement of Rahul Gandhi, he has the right to challenge us being a leader of the Opposition. We don't expect him to praise us," Shah added.
Here is the 'report card' on Modi government's four years shared by Rahul Gandhi:
The BJP-led NDA government completed fours years in power today. The coalition had won the 2014 general elections with a resounding mandate. While the BJP itself had bagged 282 seats -- 10 more than the majority mark -- the tally went up to 334 on adding the seats won by its allies.
