In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Choudhary Babulal of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won this Lok Sabha seat. Seema Upadhyay of the Bahujan Samaj Party was at the second spot and Rani Pakshalika Singh of the Samajwadi Party ended up at the third place.
