The results of the Fatehgarh Sahib Lok Sabha Constituency was declared on May 23. Congress' Amar Singh won the elections defeating Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Darbara Singh Guru. The counting of votes began in the parliamentary seat in Punjab at 8 am on Thursday, May 23. Voting for the Fatehgarh Sahib seat took place in the seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019. Fatehgarh Sahib is a key Lok Sabha Constituency of Punjab. The constituency is reserved for the Scheduled Caste category, and the seat number of this constituency is 8. Like Anandpur Sahib constituency, this Lok Sabha constituency came into existence as a part of the implementation of delimitation of parliamentary and assembly constituencies in 2008.
