New Delhi, March 27: A video is doing rounds on social media claiming that Congress workers in Kerala celebrated Rahul Gandhi's possible candidacy  from Wayanad constituency by celebrating it with Pakistani flags. The alleged video doing rounds claims that the people in the video are Congress workers who waved Pakistani flags with cutouts of Rahul Gandhi. However, on closer observation, we found that though the video doing rounds on social media is real, the caption used for the video is factually incorrect. What is the Video Doing Rounds and Why is it a Propaganda?

The video in question is being shared with distorted messages for political gains. The clip was also shown by several news channels. The video is going viral.

The Fact: The truth of the video is far from what is being claimed. Though the people shown in the video are Congress workers and are carrying cut-outs of Rahul Gandhi, the flags carried by the Congress workers are not Pakistani flags but the flag of Indian Union Muslim League.

Conclusion: On inspection, the video has proved to be fake because of the  caption shared with the video. It is clear that the video is work of malicious imagination in order to gain political advantage ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2019.
