Hyderabad, May 19: The exit poll results of Lok Sabha elections 2019 in 25 Parliamentary and 175 assembly seats of Andhra Pradesh are out. In its second Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections held simultaneously after bifurcation, media agencies and major news channels are predicting that the YSRCP is leading in the parliamentary elections in the state. As per India Today, Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP is leading with 18-20 seats, N. Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP is getting 4-6 seats and others are getting 1 seat. As per News 18, YSRCP is leading with 13-14 seats, TDP is getting 10-12 seats, BJP 1, Congress 0.

Elections in the state were held in the first phase on April 11. In simultaneous elections, 78 percent overall voter turnout was recorded in Andhra Pradesh parliamentary constituencies at the time of ending of polls on Thursday.

The fate of 319 candidates for Lok Sabha and 2,118 candidates for Vidhan Sabha seats were sealed in the electronic voting machines (EVMs). A little over 3.93 crore voters, including 1.98 crore women, were eligible for voting.

Amid high drama during elections, Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena candidate Madhusudan Gupta was arrested for smashing an EVM in a polling station in Gooty.

The Telugu state is witnessing a three-cornered electoral contest between TDP Chief and AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, YSRC Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy and Jana Sena leader and actor Pawan Kalyan. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress are also in the fray but their chances appear deserted.

In assembly elections held in 2014, the N. Chandrababu-led TDP had won 102 seats whereas it's then ally BJP had bagged only four seats. The Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP had won 67 seats. Two Independents were also elected. In the simultaneous elections held for the Lok Sabha, the TDP had bagged 15 seats while the BJP got only two. YSRCP candidates were elected from eight parliamentary seats.
