Sunil Soren of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been elected winner from the Dumka Lok Sabha constituency in Jharkhand, as per the final results declared by the Election Commission. According to data by Election Commission of India (ECI), the total number of voters in this constituency is 1,167,993. Out of these 593,964 number of electorates are males and the remaining 574,029 are females. Voting in Jharkhand will be held in four phases. The constituencies of Rajmahal, Dumka and Godda would go to polls in the seventh phase for which voting will be held on May 19. The voting in the state will be held in the 4th phase, 5th phase, 6th phase and 7th phases of the Lok Sabha elections. Three seats will be contested on April 29; four constituencies on May 6; four Lok Sabha segments on May 12; and three seats on May 19. The results will be declared on May 23.

In the Lok Sabha Elections 2014, Shibu Soren of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha had won the Rajmahal seat by defeating Sunil Soren of the BJP.  Shibu had won the seat by 335,815 votes.
