Digvijaya Singh Says 'My Speeches Cut Congress Votes', Confirms Gag Order on Him For Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018; Watch Video
Digvijaya Singh, in a video in Madhya Pradesh has indicated that the Congress has issued a gag order to him to refrain from speaking.
Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has not really been politically active even though the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018 are set to take place on November 28. Once a prominent face of the Congress in the state, the senior leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh has been pushed to the background with faces like Jyotiraditya Scindia and Kamal Nath doing most of the talking for the grand old party in Madhya Pradesh. But now, Digvijaya Singh in a video has indicated that the Congress has issued a gag order to him to refrain from speaking.

The former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Digvijaya Singh, was speaking to a few supporters and in the video he can be heard saying that "You will only keep dreaming if you don't work. And if you continue to work like this, we (Congress) won't be able to form government in the state. Make the candidate win, even if your enemy gets the ticket. And my role is only one, not to campaign and refrain from giving any speeches. My speeches cut Congress' votes and hence I do not go for rallies." Recently, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati, refused to get into an alliance with the Congress in Madhya Pradesh and said that few leaders in the Congress do not want to see the BSP growing, in a veiled attack on Digvijaya Singh. Though the senior Congress leader had distanced himself from Mayawati's comment and said that he is not responsible for BSP not joining forces with the Congress in Madhya Pradesh.
