Bhopal, June 15: As assembly elections are approaching, the political atmosphere is starting to heat up in Madhya Pradesh. Congress leader Digvijay Singh launched a scathing attack on Rashtriya Sawamsevak Sangh (RSS). While speaking at the press conference the Congress leader said, “You have wrong information that Digvijay Singh used the term 'Hindu terrorism'. I have always used the term 'Sanghi terrorism.' No terror activity can be defined on the basis of religion. No religion can be a supporter of terrorism."

Singh also held RSS ideology responsible for the blasts which were allegedly carried out by ‘Hindu Organisations’. The Congress leader said, “Bomb blasts were executed by people influenced by Sangh ideology, be it Malegaon blast, Mecca Masjid blast, blast in Samjhauta express or Dargah Sharif. This outfit which propagates violence and hatred further propagates terrorism.”

The assembly elections are expected to take place in October-November in the central state of India. The Congress is ready to form a grand alliance to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state. In the last elections, the BJP had won 165 seats out of 230, whereas The Congress managed to win only 58 seats. In 2014 assembly elections, The BJP managed to gain only 31 percent of the vote share. The Congress would try to exploit this fact against the ruling party.
