BJP candidate Rameswar Teli won and is elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) in the Dibrugarh constituency, bagging 3,63,320 votes, while Paban Singh Ghatowar from Indian National Congress (INC) trails in this year's general elections. In 2014, the General Elections was won by Rameswar Teli, member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who bagged 4,94,364 votes. The runner up in the previous Lok Sabha Elections was Paban Singh Ghatowar, member of Indian National Congress (INC) who achieved 3,09,017 votes. Rameswar Teli is the current sitting member of parliament of the Dibrugarh Constituency.
In 2019, Lok Sabha Elections will take place from April 11 to May 23. The voting this year will happen in seven phases between April 11 to May 19, 2019. The final counting and declaration of 2019 Lok Sabha Elections Results is to be held on May 23.
