Lok Sabha Elections 2019: The results of Dibrugarh Lok Sabha Constituency has been declared. BJP candidate Rameswar Teli won and is elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) in the Dibrugarh constituency, bagging 3,63,320 votes, while Paban Singh Ghatowar from Indian National Congress (INC) trails in this year's general elections. The counting of votes on the Parliamentary seat in Assam began at 8:00 am on Thursday, May 23. Voting took place for the Dibrugarh seat in the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019. 

Dibrugarh Lok Sabha seat, like the remaining 13 seats belonging to the state of Assam, represents Assam in the Lower House of the Parliament. Popularly known as the “Tea City of India,” the city of Dibrugarh is part of the Dibrugarh parliamentary constituency. All the registered voters are gearing up to cast their vote in Lok Sabha Elections 2019. As declared by the Election Commission of India (ECI), polling will take place on the first phase of General Elections 2019, and it is scheduled on April 11. In 2014, the General Elections was won by Rameswar Teli, member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who bagged 4,94,364 votes. The runner up in the previous Lok Sabha Elections was Paban Singh Ghatowar, member of Indian National Congress (INC) who achieved 3,09,017 votes. Rameswar Teli is the current sitting member of parliament of the Dibrugarh Constituency.

In 2019, Lok Sabha Elections will take place from April 11 to May 23. The voting this year will happen in seven phases between April 11 to May 19, 2019. The final counting and declaration of 2019 Lok Sabha Elections Results is to be held on May 23.
