Mumbai, August 3: As the Assembly Elections knocking the doors of Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday stated that he is willing to offer Shiv Sena's Aaditya Thackeray the post of Deputy CM post. Fadnavis - who is eyeing for a second straight term - opined that the BJP-led government would be glad to have junior Thackeray in the state cabinet.
Expressing his opinion on the reports that Aaditya contesting the elections, Fadnavis said, as quoted by TOI, "We never had any problem with that. We are ready to offer it even now. Aaditya would be the first one to contest polls from the Thackeray family and we would be glad to have him in government." Asked about the alliance with Shiv Sena and contesting the Assembly polls together - scheduled in October-November - the Maharashtra CM said that BJP's allaince with Shiv Sena is intact, He even claimed that their alliance will win more seats in the 288-member assembly.
It is to be known that a few days ago there were reports that Aaditya Thackeray would be the first one from the Thackeray scion to contest elections. With this, speculations gained momentum that Shiv Sena might demand Deputy CM post for him.
