Kolkata, April 29: Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remark "40 TMC MLAs in contact with me", Trinamool Congress leader Derek O'Brien said that nobody will go with the PM, not even a single councillor. Speaking to news agency ANI, Derek O'Brien said, "Expiry Babu PM. Nobody will go with you, not even 1 councillor. Are you election campaigning or horse-trading, your expiry date is near. Earlier today, addressing a rally in Serampore, PM Modi said, "Didi, on 23 May, the day of results, the lotus will bloom everywhere and your MLAs will leave you and run. Even today, Didi, 40 of your MLAs are in contact with me."

Meanwhile, the elections in West Bengal are held in seven phases from April 11, 2019, to May 19, 2019. The counting of votes and announcement of results are on May 23. In 2014 Lok Sabha Polls, the TMC had won 34 out of the 42 parliamentary seats in the state.
