Arvind Kejriwal Calls BIS Report on Delhi Water as 'Politically Motivated', Advises Dr Harsh Vardhan to Stay Away From 'Dirty Politics'
According to a study conducted by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Mumbai has topped the list of cities with cleanest water in India whereas Delhi has featured at the very bottom of the list. However, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members and MLAs have rejected the report as outrightly false and malicious.
New Delhi, November 17: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal refuted the BIS report findings which ranked the drinking water in Delhi at the bottom of list of Indian cities with cleanest drinking water. The Delhi chief minister called the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) report as fake and wrong and also urged BJP leader Dr Harshvardhan to not believe the report after the Union Health Minister shared a news article citing the BIS findings. Kejriwal also called the report as “politically motivated” and part of “dirty politics”. The Aam Aadmi Party chief took to Twitter to counter Dr Harsh Vardhan’s post and said that being a doctor, the health minister should not be sharing such articles and refrain from such politics.

Delhi is already reeling under severe air pollution as the air quality continues to be in very poor category. However, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members and MLAs have rejected the report as outrightly false and malicious.
Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Ram Vilas Paswan, made the information of the study public on Saturday. While Mumbai topped the rankings, Delhi's water failed on all the 19 parameters. All the 11 samples collected from Delhi failed the test, reported news agency ANI.
