New Delhi, January 6: The Election Commission of India will announce the schedule of Delhi Elections at 3.30 pm today. The term of the current assembly elected in 2015 will expire on 22 February 2020. The polls will be held to elect 70 members of the Delhi Legislative Assembly.
After the previous election that was held in 2015, Aam Aadmi Party formed a majority government, with Arvind Kejriwal becoming Chief Minister. The major parties contesting this time are AAP, BJP and Congress. BJP will go to polls in the national capital without a Chief Ministerial candidate. The announcement of the candidate will take place only after the elections. The Satta bazaar is betting high on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal returning to power in Delhi. The campaigning for the Delhi assembly elections 2020 will intensify in the days to come, and till now, AAP appears leading in the electoral race. BJP announced on Sunday as part of the campaigning, the party will focus on small meetings and door-to-door campaigns in order to reach out to more people.
