New Delhi, December 13: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will register a huge victory if assembly elections are held today in Delhi, said the saffron party's internal survey on Friday. The survey, conducted by the Global Action Young Network for the BJP, said that the BJP will win 42 seats out of Delhi's 70 seats, while the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is projected to bag 26 seats. In the 2015 Delhi assembly elections, Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP registered a landslide victory winning 67 seats. The BJP could win three seats, whereas the Congress drew a blank. The survey, however, predicted a change in BJP's fortunes. The BJP will improve its voting percentage from 2015 and may get around 46.6 percent of vote share while the AAP will get around 31.8 percent, said the survey. The survey said that a majority of citizens in Delhi are "unsatisfied" with Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government in Delhi, news agency IANS reported. It further claimed that the AAP government did not fulfil most of the promises like reducing the fees in private schools, increasing Delhi Transport Corporation buses, garbage pick up from the residential areas and the supply of drinking water in residential areas.
According to the survey, over 68 per cent of Delhi feel that Kejriwal government was responsible for the rise in the levels of air pollution in the city. It said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi still remains the most credible leader in Delhi with over 81 per cent supporting him followed by Kejriwal.
