New Delhi, January 6: As the EC announced the date for the Delhi Assembly election, Union Home Minister and BJP chief Amit Shah has set the tone by upping the ante against the AAP government.
Urging the people of Delhi to come out in large numbers to vote, in a series of tweets, Shah expressed hope that they will vote against the AAP for allegedly failing to keep its promises.┬аDelhi Assembly Elections 2020: Model Code of Conduct Comes Into Effect in National Capital Territory; Know What MCC or Aachar Sanhita is.
"I am confident that through this 'mahaparva' (festival) of democracy, they will choose the government which fulfils the aspirations of the people of Delhi under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi by defeating those who misled them for five years by making only hollow promises," Shah tweeted.

The BJP has kicked off a door-to-door campaign across the nation to counter the opposition's narrative on CAA. Shah now wants Delhi cadres to additionally use the opportunity to campaign for the party in the national capital.
