Delhi Assembly Elections 2020: AAP Releases List of 39 Star Campaigners; Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Bhagwant Mann, Vishal Dadlani Named in The List, Check All Names
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday submitted a list of 39 star campaigners to the Election Commission for Delhi Assembly Elections 2020. The list includes party’s top brass – Delhi Chief Minister and National convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and state minister Satendra Jha.
New Delhi, January 22: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday submitted a list of 39 star campaigners to the Election Commission for Delhi Assembly Elections 2020. The list includes party’s top brass – Delhi Chief Minister and National convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and state minister Satyendra Jha. Comedian turned politician Bhagwant Mann and Bollywood music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani also featured in the list of AAP’s star campaigners.
Rekha Rani, Harpal Singh Cheema, Sushil Kumar Singh and Shoaib Iqbal also named as party’s star campaigner. Earlier this month, the AAP released the list of 70 candidates who will be contesting the upcoming assembly elections. Kejriwal will be contesting from New Delhi while Sisodia will contest from Patparganj. AAP's Full List of Star Campaigners:
The AAP gave tickets to 46 sitting MLAs. The party relaced 15 sitting legislators and nine seats that were vacant have been given to new candidates. This time, eight women candidates are contesting on AAP’s ticket. Kejriwal on Tuesday filed his nomination paper. The Delhi assembly polls will be held in a single phase on February 8 across all 70 constituencies, and the results will be declared on February 11. Delhi will witness three-way electoral battle between the AAP, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress. In the 2014 assembly elections, the AAP won 67 assembly seats, while remaining three seats were won by the BJP.
