Deepotsav 2018: Yogi Adityanath May Lay Foundation Stone of Grand Ram Statue, Schedule of Diwali Celebrations at Ayodhya

The Chief Minister may announce the construction of a 100-ft tall statue of Lord Ram in the Ayodhya city at a cost of Rs 330 crore. Reports inform that the massive statue of Lord Ram will be erected on the bank of River Saryu.

Lucknow, November 6: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is likely to make a big announcement during the Deepotsav festivities in Ayodhya on Tuesday. The three-day Diwali celebrations in the Ayodhya city began on November 4 and will conclude on Tuesday, i.e. November 6. The celebrations included Ramlila performance by various artists among various other events. Scores of people gathered to witness the Deepotsav celebrations in Ayodhya since Sunday.

If reports are to be believed, Yogi Aditynath is likely to announce some good news on Tuesday, which is the concluding day of the Deepotsav 2018. The Chief Minister may announce the construction of a 100-ft tall statue of Lord Ram in the Ayodhya city at a cost of Rs 330 crore. Reports inform that potters in Ayodhya have made nearly 3 lakh earthen lamps which will be lit on November 6 celebrations in the presence of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the first lady of South Korea. Plans Afoot for Statue of Lord Ram on Saryu River Banks in Ayodhya.

The Ayodhya city has been fully decked up to welcome the visiting South Korean First lady Kim Jung-sook for the grand Diwali celebrations in the state. She was invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the chief guest of the Deepotsav event and the ground-breaking ceremony of the Queen Suriratna (Heo Hwang-ok) Memorial in Ayodhya on November 6. 

The Deepotsav is being organised by the government of Uttar Pradesh. With dazzling riverfront at 'Ram Ki Paidi' to illuminated streets and heritage buildings, Ayodhya is all decked up for the grand Diwali 2018 celebrations.  A statue of Lord Ram and Hanuman has been installed at the historic ghats of the Saryu river, while an iconic ceremonial gateway has been erected near the site of the main function.

According to reports, artists from Maharashtra toiled on a 30-ft statue of Lord Ram which is installed near the site of 'Deepotsav' in the city. It must be noted that earlier, a statue of Lord Ram and Hanuman has been installed at the historic ghats of the Saryu river.
