Bhopal, October 22: Amid preparations of the Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh which are due next month, a deaf and mute former Infosys employee on Monday said he wishes to contest the elections this year. An engineer from Infosys, Sudeep Sukla from Satna is all set to contest in the upcoming state Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh. Shukla said he wants to save the country and this is an excellent opportunity to do so. "I want to serve the country. So I need an opportunity. Politicians promise to serve but they forget their duty after elections", Shukla said.

Polling for Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly will be held on 28 November 2018 to elect members of the 230 constituencies in the state. The counting of votes will be done on December 11. Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018: BJP Might Not Give Tickets to 70-80 MLAs. 

The state Assembly in Madhya Pradesh has 231 members out of which 230 are elected directly by the people while one member is nominated by the Governor. The election will be a political battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress. Currently, Madhya Pradesh is ruled under the leadership of BJP with Shivraj Singh Chauhan as the Chief Minister of the state. Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018 full Schedule And Dates: Polling for All 230 Seats on 28 November, Counting of Votes on 11 December.

It must be noted that the BJP is ruling the state for the last 15 years where Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took over the reins of power on 29 November 2005. While the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government will try to win for the consecutive 4th term, the Indian National Congress will fight for winning the state after 2003.
