Bhubaneswar, May 23: The results of the Dabugam, Lanjigarh, Junagarh, Dharmgarh, Bhawanipatna and Narla Assembly constituencies in Odisha will be declared today. The counting of votes began on the Dabugam, Lanjigarh, Junagarh, Dharmgarh, Bhawanipatna and Narla Assembly constituencies in Odisha at 8 am on Thursday, May 23. BJD won in Dabugam, Lanjigarh, Junagarh, Dharmgarh and Narla seats, while BJP won in  Bhawanipatna seat.

Voting took place for the Dabugam, Lanjigarh, Junagarh, Dharmgarh, Bhawanipatna and Narla seats in the first phase of Assembly Elections 2019. A total voter turnout of 73.76 per cent was recorded, as per Election Commission of India. According to the Election Commission’s briefings, the process of filing nomination for First Phase of Assembly elections in Odisha began on March 18, which continued till March 25. The scrutiny was done on March 26, and the last date for the withdrawal of the nominations was March 28. In 2014 Odisha Assembly polls, BJD bagged 117 seats, While Congress could manage only 16 seats. Meanwhile, BJP secured 10 seats, and CPI (M) Samata Kranti Dal and an individual won one seats each. Odisha Assembly elections will take place in four phases, starting from April 11 to April 29. The results would be declared on May 23, along with the Lok Sabha Elections results.
