Congress Releases Seventh List of 35 Candidates For Lok Sabha Elections 2019, 54 Names for Odisha Assembly Polls

The Congress on Friday night released the seventh list of 35 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2019. The party has given ticket Renuka Chowdhury from Khammam in Telangana, while, Imran Pratapgarhi will contest from Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad.

New Delhi, March 23: The Congress on Friday night released the seventh list of 35 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2019. The party has given ticket Renuka Chowdhury from Khammam in Telangana, while, Imran Pratapgarhi will contest from Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad. Congress' seventh list of 35 candidates for Lok Sabha elections:

The list contains four nominees from Chhattisgarh, three from Jammu and Kashmir, five from Maharashtra, two from Odisha, eight from Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh each and two from Tripura. The grand old party also announced the party candidate from Puducherry. The party also announced the names of 54 candidates for the 147-member Odisha legislative assembly. Jayadev Jena will contest from Anandapur, while the party has given a ticket to Biplab Jena from Angul. Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha elections will take place in seven phases from April 11 to May 19. The results will be declared on May 23. In Lok Sabha Elections 2014, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had won an absolute majority with 282 seats while the Congress had won only 44 seats.
