Saroj Kumari, wife of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and late Congress leader Arjun Singh, has accused her sons Ajay Singh and Abhimanyu Singh of domestic violence. Saroj Kumari has also said that she has been removed from her own house and that her sons have refused to look after her needs including food and other important expenses.

She has requested the judicial magistrate to accept her complaint under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 Ajay Singh is also the leader of the Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.

The 80-year-old Saroj Kumari on Tuesday afternoon reached the court along with NRI businessman Sam Varma and daughter Veena Singh. Saroj Singh is presently living separately in Noida. She has written in her application that “My sons Ajay Singh and Abhimanyu Singh have removed me from my own house. They have also refused to take care of my expenses. That is the reason why I am forced to take the help of the court.”

The whole dispute is related to a property which Arjun Singh had bought when he was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. The property is reported to be worth crores and the dispute between Saroj Kumari and sons is reported to be related to the property.
