Mumbai, October 3: The Congress party on Thursday released the fourth list of the names of 19 candidates who would be contesting for the upcoming Assembly elections of Maharashtra. The party has fielded Ashish Deshmukh from Nagpur South West against current Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. With this, the opposition party has till now released the names of 142 candidates.

According to the latest tweet, Udesingh K Padvi has been fielded from Nandurbar, while DS Ahire has been selected from Sakri seat. Balwant Wankhede has been placed from Daryapur, while Mahesh Mendhe got the party ticket from Chandrapur. Among the other candidates who have got tickets include -- Baldev Basantsingh Khosa (Versova), Anand Shukla (Anand Shukla), Lahu Kanade (Shrirampur), Amar Varade (Gondiya), Udaysingh Sohanlal Yadav (Ramtek), etc. Congress Second List of Candidates For Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019 Out, Prithviraj Chavan to Contest From Karnad.

The Congress is contesting the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019 in alliance with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Both the parties are contesting on 125 seats each, while the remaining 38 seats are left for other alliance partners.

The elections for 288-member assembly is scheduled to take place on October 21 along with Haryana. The results will be declared on the same day. Immediately after the Election Commission announced the assembly election dates, the Model Code of Conduct has immediately come into force.
