Kunnur, June 2: The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) on Monday, June 3, expelled party leader Aruvanpalli Puthiyapurayil Abdullakutty, popularly known as A. P. Abdullakutty, on the charges of indiscipline. The Congress was reportedly angry with the senior leader's Facebook post praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi. NCP Expels 18 Corporators in Ahmednagar Civic Body Who Voted For BJP's Mayor Candidate.

Abdullakutty, in a post, said, "PM has become popular because he has imbibed Gandhian values in his governance". "This win in election is certainly due to the wide acceptance of Modi’s development agenda. PM Modi has reflected Mahatma Gandhi’s word that ‘when you develop a policy, you should remember the face of the poorest in his rule’. Swachch Bharath and Ujwala Yojana are examples of this,” the former Member of Parliament from Kerala’s Kannur said.
